The program includes a flight in one of the Scouts own Cessna 172 aircraft usually to Warragamba Dam and return, a trip that takes approximately 25 minutes.
Ground Activities Activities commences at 8:30am and, subject to the number of visitors on the day and weather conditions will finish at around 3:30pm. Number of participants will be split enabling one group at a time to fly whilst others are undertaking ground activities and vice versa until all participants complete all activities. Included during your visit: • Aviation experience programs tailored for the different aged groups. • Participants will take part in other activities related to aviation including an escorted aerodrome walk, which will include identifying key elements on the aerodrome, air traffic control tower, aircraft movements, different types of aircraft, aerodrome markings/signage, all with an emphasis on safety.
